About this role
GuidePoint Security seeks a Security Engineer in Denver to deliver hands-on network security expertise to regional clients while developing into a strategic pre-sales advisor. You'll support technical discovery, design security architectures, and build trusted client relationships across the Heartland region.
What you'll do
- Provide technical support and design guidance to clients on network security best practices and solutions
- Collaborate with sales teams to scope solutions, conduct technical discovery, and present security architectures
- Build and maintain expertise in network security platforms and translate capabilities into business outcomes
- Develop trusted advisor relationships by demonstrating empathy and commitment to solving client challenges
- Produce security assessments, architecture recommendations, and implementation documentation
- Expand knowledge across adjacent security domains to become a well-rounded security strategist

- Firewall platforms (Palo Alto Networks, Checkpoint, Fortinet)
- Next-generation firewalls, AppID, and micro-segmentation
- Troubleshooting firewalls, routing, NAT, and VPN

- CISSP domain knowledge and security fundamentals
