About this role
Vannevar seeks a backend engineer to build and scale identity and access management infrastructure for a defense AI platform. You'll lead cross-functional initiatives on authentication, authorization, and permission systems while collaborating with product, compliance, and mission teams to deliver secure, intuitive access control solutions.
What you'll do
- Design and implement core authentication, authorization, and identity infrastructure serving multiple product teams
- Lead mission-critical projects to build scalable platform capabilities and shared services
- Partner with engineers across the organization to develop standardized security solutions addressing cross-product challenges
- Collaborate with compliance and mission stakeholders to define and enforce access control and data protection standards
- Influence architecture decisions and engineering standards across the company
- Communicate complex technical concepts to engineers, cross-functional partners, and end users
