About this role
IMC Markets seeks a Network Engineer to design, implement, and optimize the company's North American networking infrastructure connecting trading operations, data centers, and global offices. The role involves managing high-performance networks in a quantitative trading environment with opportunities for mentorship and cross-functional collaboration.
What you'll do
- Design, implement, and optimize IMC's North American network infrastructure interconnecting operations, exchanges, and offices
- Execute large-scale network engineering projects and develop infrastructure design standards with the global team
- Diagnose and resolve advanced network issues including TCP/IP, routing, switching, and packet analysis
- Maintain and develop network monitoring systems while creating performance and availability reports
- Manage high-performance networks across multiple switching hardware platforms
- Coach and mentor new network engineering team members

- TCP/IP, Layer 3 protocols, Ethernet LAN, Unicast and Multicast routing
- Network troubleshooting, packet analysis, and VPN remote access
