About this role

Develop and maintain ECOSphere, a federal wildlife management system, leveraging Databricks, Apache Spark, and cloud technologies. You'll enhance applications, manage AWS infrastructure, ensure security compliance, and support both internal and public-facing features through full-stack development and DevOps integration.

What you'll do

  • Design and implement new features and integrations for ECOSphere and related USFWS applications using modern frameworks
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines, ETL processes, and FME workflows to deliver data from EDW to applications
  • Provide Tier 2/3 support including troubleshooting, bug fixes, performance optimization, and configuration updates
  • Maintain AWS environments with security best practices, FISMA compliance, and DevSecOps CI/CD pipeline integration
  • Create automated tests (unit, integration) and database datasets for SSRS and QuickSight reporting
  • Gather user feedback and develop enhancements including AI tools to improve user experience and workflows
