About this role

Develop and maintain ECOSphere, a complex federal wildlife management application, by building new features, integrating systems, and ensuring cloud infrastructure security on AWS. This role combines front-end and full-stack development with DevSecOps responsibilities to keep the platform secure, scalable, and user-friendly for internal and public users.

What you'll do

  • Design and implement new features and integrations across ECOSphere and connected applications (ETK, IPaC, EPM, SAMS, HabITab, etc.)
  • Perform framework upgrades (Angular, React, Spring Boot, Grails) and refactor legacy code for security and performance
  • Develop and maintain FME processes, APIs, and data integrations to flow data from EDW and other sources into applications
  • Provide Tier 2/3 support including troubleshooting, bug fixes, performance tuning, and automated testing (unit, integration)
  • Maintain AWS infrastructure, implement FISMA compliance, and integrate CI/CD pipelines with security scanning
  • Create technical documentation, database queries for reporting in SSRS/QuickSight, and weekly status reports
