Intrinsic, Google's AI robotics group, seeks a Robotics Software Engineer to develop grasping and manipulation algorithms that simplify industrial robot operation. You'll create production-ready software that abstracts complex robotic tasks into intuitive workflows, enabling broader adoption across manufacturing sectors.

What you'll do

• Design and implement production-ready algorithms for robotic grasping and manipulation
• Translate cutting-edge robotics research into practical industrial solutions
• Convert complex partner requirements into reliable technical implementations
• Test and iterate algorithms on physical robot hardware
• Enhance the robotics software framework and product reliability
• Collaborate with roboticists and application engineers on industrial task validation

• C++ and Python programming with production-quality code experience
• Linear algebra, spatial transformations, and rigid body dynamics
• Robotic manipulation (5+ years professional experience)
• Physical robot testing and hardware integration
• Machine learning frameworks (JAX, TensorFlow, or PyTorch preferred)
• Full-stack robotics development (kinematics through system integration)
• Motion planning and generation
• Reinforcement learning (differentiator)
