About this role
Lucid is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer I for their Newark, CA facility to develop and execute assembly processes from concept through production launch. You'll partner across design, quality, and operations to translate vehicle requirements into scalable manufacturing processes while improving quality, throughput, and cost.
What you'll do
- Lead design-for-manufacturing reviews and drive manufacturability improvements with Product Engineering
- Develop assembly processes from prototype through validated production, defining workflows, tooling, and equipment requirements
- Plan and execute vehicle launch activities including builds, equipment commissioning, and risk mitigation
- Create process documentation, work instructions, PFMEAs, and dimensional-control strategies
- Identify and implement Lean Manufacturing, error-proofing, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Coordinate cross-functional alignment across Design, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, and suppliers
