About this role
Lucid Motors seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer to develop tooling, jigs, and fixtures for vehicle service and manufacturing operations. You'll create 3D models and 2D drawings, coordinate design and manufacturing programs, and drive cost-reduction innovations across global production environments.
What you'll do
- Design and develop mechanical systems, jigs, and fixtures for vehicle service operations and ancillary systems
- Generate 3D CAD models and detailed 2D engineering drawings to manufacturing standards
- Coordinate design and manufacturing programs while managing testing and design verification
- Create innovative solutions to complex mechanical challenges with emphasis on cost optimization
- Develop and integrate new materials and manufacturing processes
- Prepare technical documentation including DVP&R, DFMEA, and GD&T specifications
