About this role

Lucid is seeking a Test Engineer II for Vehicle Efficiency Engineering to develop, validate, and utilize models of physical systems that address vehicle design and performance questions. You'll perform CFD simulations, build system models for electric vehicles, and collaborate cross-functionally to optimize efficiency, performance, and customer experience from concept through production.

What you'll do

  • Perform CFD simulations on HVAC and thermal system components and subsystems
  • Develop and maintain system models to solve mechanical, electrical, and thermal problems in electric vehicles
  • Validate models against experimental data and test results
  • Collaborate with product development, manufacturing, testing, and attribute teams
  • Support design decisions from concept development through production launch
  • Address vehicle-level efficiency and performance questions using modeling expertise
