About this role

Lucid is seeking a Vehicle Development Engineer I to lead test planning and execution for early-stage and production vehicles, including the Lucid Gravity. You'll own assigned test vehicles, prepare them for validation, execute comprehensive testing across lab and real-world environments, and drive issue resolution across multiple functional areas.

What you'll do

  • Own assigned test vehicles, maintaining hardware/software configurations and service history
  • Prepare vehicles with hardware updates, software flashing, and instrumentation for testing
  • Review test plans and coordinate logistics for vehicle-level testing including risk assessments
  • Execute test plans in lab, proving grounds, and on public roads; collect and analyze vehicle data
  • Document test results, identify issues with supporting data, and support investigation and resolution
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams and travel domestically and internationally to test sites
