About this role

Lumilens seeks a Component Process Engineer to lead FR4/PCB substrate development and supplier qualification for photonic interconnect systems. This role bridges hardware design, manufacturing, and global suppliers, focusing on design-for-manufacturability, process development, and quality assurance for high-speed optical applications.

What you'll do

  • Identify, develop, and qualify FR4/PCB substrate suppliers globally
  • Lead DFM/DFT/DFR analysis and risk mitigation for PCB substrates with suppliers
  • Manage FR4/PCB quality control, failure analysis, and reliability testing
  • Engage with packaging teams during process development (SMT, die attach, wire bonding, active alignment, testing)
  • Provide design guidance to substrate/PCB teams based on supplier manufacturability capabilities
  • Support process development from initial technology phase through supplier qualification
