Equipment Engineer (Active Alignment Machine)
About this role
Lumilens seeks an Equipment Engineer to manage active alignment machine development and qualification for photonic optical components. You'll coordinate between design, manufacturing, and global equipment suppliers to deliver FAU-PIC alignment systems for next-generation AI computing infrastructure.
What you'll do
- Identify, develop, and qualify FAU-PIC equipment suppliers worldwide for Pluggable/NPO/CPO packages
- Lead co-design and qualification of alignment machines with suppliers, including risk analysis and mitigation planning
- Support active alignment processes across mass production, NPI, and R&D environments
- Engage with package production teams during process development and qualification phases
- Ensure on-time equipment delivery and installation with suppliers
