Optical Test Engineer

About this role

Lumilens is seeking an Optical Test Engineer to validate photonic components and systems for next-generation AI computing infrastructure. You'll perform hands-on testing, develop test procedures, and collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure product quality through NPI and volume production.

What you'll do

• Characterize and test fiber optic components, modules, and systems
• Analyze test results against performance specifications and quality standards
• Design and plan optical testing procedures for components and devices
• Generate detailed test reports and maintain accurate documentation
• Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis for product issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on NPI and manufacturing ramp

• Optical test instruments (spectrum analyzers, power meters, bit-error-rate testers)
• Test automation scripting (Python, LabVIEW, Visual Basic, Shell)
