Lumos is seeking an IT Engineer – Infrastructure Network to lead the design, implementation, and management of enterprise network and infrastructure platforms supporting their fiber optic internet operations across nine states. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with strategic oversight of routers, switches, firewalls, cloud connectivity, and security systems.

What you'll do

  • Maintain and secure internal/external corporate network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless equipment
  • Administer network services such as DNS, DHCP, IPAM, and VPN connectivity for business-to-business and cloud environments
  • Implement system monitoring using Splunk and similar tools for on-premises and cloud infrastructure
  • Investigate security incidents and escalations, providing thorough documentation and custom solutions
  • Manage vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and remediation processes
  • Participate in network and security design development initiatives
