Embedded Autonomy Engineer
About this role
Mach Industries seeks an Embedded Autonomy Engineer to own the Linux mission computer powering autonomous defense systems in GPS-denied environments. You'll integrate high-bandwidth sensors, optimize real-time perception pipelines for NVIDIA Jetson platforms, and bridge embedded Linux infrastructure with autonomy and inference workloads.
What you'll do
- Bring up and maintain Linux mission computers on NVIDIA Jetson/Tegra SoCs: BSP, device trees, kernel, bootloaders
- Integrate high-bandwidth MIPI CSI cameras, SerDes (GMSL/FPD-Link), radar, and achieve time-sync across sensor suite
- Build and optimize zero-copy, DMA-based sensor-to-GPU pipelines for real-time perception and inference
- Deploy and maintain CUDA/TensorRT runtime, GPU scheduling, edge containers, and autonomy middleware on target hardware
- Harden compute platform for flight: power, thermal, SWaP, vibration, boot reliability under field constraints
- Debug integration with logic analyzers and oscilloscopes; define software-hardware specs with electrical engineers

- NVIDIA Jetson, CUDA, TensorRT, GStreamer/DeepStream
- Real-time optimization and performance tuning under SWaP constraints
- ROS 2 and autonomy stack integration
- Multi-sensor time-sync and calibration
