About this role
Mariana Minerals seeks a Mechanical Engineer to join their San Francisco pilot plant team, where you'll design, install, and maintain innovative mineral refining equipment while bridging R&D and operations. This role combines hands-on troubleshooting, CAD design, and cross-functional collaboration to scale first-of-its-kind processes toward commercial production.
What you'll do
- Design, fabricate, install, and commission new equipment and pilot plant systems for mineral refining
- Troubleshoot mechanical failures and implement solutions to maintain safe, reliable operations
- Collaborate with process engineers and R&D to translate requirements into equipment designs and plant improvements
- Create and maintain technical documentation including P&IDs, CAD models, equipment specs, and manuals
- Identify and execute upgrades to equipment reliability, maintainability, and operational performance
- Travel to Mariana sites to support project startups, commissioning, and troubleshooting
