Platform Security Engineer (AMER/EMEA)
About this role
Supabase seeks a senior Platform Security Engineer to strengthen security across their Postgres development platform, focusing on AWS, Kubernetes, and containerized infrastructure. You'll partner with infrastructure and SRE teams to identify risks, conduct threat modeling, and build scalable security controls that protect the platform without impeding developer velocity.
What you'll do
- Identify and reduce security risks across AWS, Kubernetes, containers, and platform infrastructure
- Conduct threat modeling, architecture reviews, and technical risk assessments for infrastructure systems
- Design and implement Kubernetes and container security improvements including RBAC, admission control, and runtime hardening
- Assess container runtime and Linux isolation risks including capabilities, seccomp, namespaces, and escape scenarios
- Strengthen AWS security posture across IAM, account boundaries, networking, logging, and encryption
- Build automation, guardrails, and secure-by-default patterns to scale security across the platform
