Site Reliability Engineer

Memphis, Tennessee; Southaven, MississippimidAdded today

About this role

SpaceXAI seeks a Site Reliability Engineer to design monitoring architecture, lead incident response, and drive reliability improvements across their Memphis/Southavan data center campus. You'll serve as the technical bridge between compute, network, storage, facility operations, and the NOC, commanding major incidents and building guardrails to prevent future outages.

What you'll do

  • Own monitoring architecture, alert design, and signal quality; treat alert noise as a design problem
  • Provide technical incident command during SEVs, coordinate with NOC, and maintain timeline/severity hygiene
  • Conduct blameless postmortems and drive corrective actions to completion
  • Lead cross-functional reliability projects spanning compute, network, storage, and facility boundaries
  • Build and maintain playbooks, run game days, and keep dependency maps current with NOC partnership
  • Define error budgets and availability objectives at campus and service levels; participate in on-call rotations

What they're looking for

  • Large-scale incident command and bridge leadership
  • Monitoring and observability design at fleet/campus scale
  • Python and Bash scripting for automation
  • Systems programming (C, C++, Go, Rust, or Java)
  • Cross-domain knowledge: compute, network, storage, power, and/or cooling systems
  • SLO/SLI definition and error budget management
  • Playbook and runbook development for 24/7 NOC operations
  • Data-driven problem-solving and root cause analysis
