About this role
Mixpanel seeks a Customer Engineer to own the pre-sales technical journey, guiding prospects from discovery through POC design and competitive evaluation. You'll be the technical bridge between prospect business problems and Mixpanel's analytics capabilities, ensuring strong technical fit and handoff quality before customers activate.
What you'll do
- Lead technical discovery to assess prospect business challenges, technical environment, and POC qualification
- Design and deliver tailored demos connecting Mixpanel capabilities to specific business outcomes
- Establish technical fit and scope meaningful proofs before POC begins
- Own competitive positioning against Amplitude, PostHog, and warehouse-native alternatives
- Run structured POCs with defined success criteria and handoff packages for Delivery Engineers
- Drive post-sale cross-sell and expansion opportunities requiring new technical evaluation
