Technical Services Engineer, Named Accounts
About this role
MongoDB is seeking a Technical Services Engineer to support named enterprise accounts as part of the Premium Services team. You'll leverage deep database expertise to solve complex MongoDB challenges, guide customers on architecture and performance, and serve as a technical advocate bridging customer needs with product teams.
What you'll do
- Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting for enterprise customers on MongoDB architecture, performance, security, and recovery
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with a handful of largest enterprise customers
- Coordinate resolution of complex technical issues across the MongoDB ecosystem
- Advise customers on best practices for deploying and managing MongoDB at scale
- Act as customer advocate, communicating needs to product management and development teams
- Complete MongoDB Certified DBA Associate exam and become independent point of contact for customer accounts
What they're looking for
- 7+ years production database deployment and management experience
- Database operations: monitoring, backup/recovery, performance tuning, data modeling, security
- Cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Linux systems engineering, networking, and troubleshooting
- Storage engineering fundamentals
- Code reading and scripting in Java, Python, Ruby, C/C++, C#, JavaScript, Go, or similar
- Customer-facing technical communication and stakeholder management
- Ability to learn rapidly and work independently and cross-functionally
