About this role

MORSE Corp seeks an experienced IT and Network Security Engineer to design, implement, and manage enterprise network infrastructure with a focus on security and NIST 800-171 compliance. You'll lead network projects, mentor junior staff, and serve as Tier 2 support while scaling the company's security capabilities.

What you'll do

  • Design and implement enterprise network solutions with firewall management, trust zone models, and NIST 800-171 compliance
  • Lead network and security projects from planning through implementation with clear documentation and stakeholder communication
  • Optimize network performance through switching, routing, and data flow improvements
  • Conduct technical analysis and planning for technology deployments using architecture standards
  • Mentor junior team members on configuration and implementation tasks
  • Provide Tier 2 support for corporate network operations and troubleshooting

  • Enterprise network design and implementation (LAN, MAN, WAN, VPN, WiFi, data center)
  • Firewall management and policy development (Fortigate experience desired)
  • Routing protocols and Layer 3 segmentation
  • Load balancer and remote access VPN deployment
  • Network Access Control solutions
  • Packet-level network analysis and troubleshooting
  • Aruba Wireless, Extreme Networks, and Cisco switching
  • Scripting/automation (Python, Ansible, Terraform) and cloud security solutions
