Electrical Engineer III

Torrance, California, United States$115k–$161kmidAdded yesterday

About this role

Neros seeks an Electrical Engineer III to own end-to-end electronics hardware development for high-performance unmanned systems. You'll drive circuit design, worst-case analysis, and verification across digital, analog, RF, and mixed-signal subsystems, taking hardware from requirements through production on systems that see combat deployment.

What you'll do

  • Execute worst-case circuit analysis across digital, analog, RF, and mixed-signal subsystems to validate design margins
  • Author electronics verification plans establishing traceability between requirements, test methods, and acceptance criteria
  • Contribute to schematic capture and inform design decisions through analysis and integration expertise
  • Lead hardware integration from board bring-up through production qualification with hands-on troubleshooting
  • Write and execute test procedures, document results, and maintain requirements traceability through verification closure
  • Coordinate EMI/EMC, thermal, shock/vibe, and environmental qualification activities with external test laboratories

What they're looking for

  • Worst-case circuit analysis (WCCA) across analog, digital, RF, and mixed-signal domains
  • Schematic capture and PCB layout direction (Altium preferred)
  • Electronics verification planning and requirements traceability
  • Hardware integration and board bring-up with bench instrumentation debugging
  • Design for testability (DFT), manufacturability (DFM), and reliability (DFR)
  • MATLAB, Python, or scripting languages for data analysis and test automation
  • Circuit theory and hands-on troubleshooting at circuit and system levels
  • FMEA and derating analysis on safety-critical subsystems

Benefits

  • Work on cutting-edge defense drone technology deployed in real combat environments
  • Fast-paced startup culture with extreme ownership and rapid iteration cycles
  • Competitive equity grants as part of total compensation package
  • Direct impact on warfighter capability and national defense
  • Hands-on technical leadership and design decision authority
