Product Engineer
About this role
A Product Engineer at OBE will process and manage sales orders for architectural glass and building products, serving as the critical link between customers, project management, and manufacturing. The role involves translating customer requirements into manufacturing instructions, maintaining documentation accuracy, and ensuring orders meet cost and schedule requirements.
What you'll do
- Create and edit sales orders in the Order Management System based on customer selections and contracted specifications
- Verify data quality and accuracy of all generated documents while meeting project release schedules
- Communicate with Project Management and external customers to resolve order definition issues and questions
- Provide manufacturing and purchasing departments with technical drawings and specifications needed for fabrication
- Solicit vendor quotes for accurate pricing on panels, breakforms, and security screens through procurement
- Maintain organized files and records for Finance and Accounting related to sales orders
