Product Engineer (Bill of Materials)
About this role
OBE seeks a Product Engineer to convert architectural drawings and project specifications into bills of materials and manufacturing documentation for custom window systems. Using CAD, ERP, and configuration software, you'll bridge design and production while supporting manufacturing operations through troubleshooting and occasional site visits.
What you'll do
- Read and interpret architectural drawings to extract project requirements
- Generate bills of materials and manufacturing drawings using AutoCAD, ERP, and Excel
- Analyze sales, estimating, and production requirements for orders
- Research and validate engineering standards and product specifications
- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and support shop floor operations
- Communicate project needs effectively across departments
