About this role

Olsson seeks an experienced Instrumentation and Controls Project Engineer to design and manage Building Management Systems for data center projects. This remote role involves developing control system specifications, coordinating with multiple engineering disciplines, and overseeing construction administration, with occasional site travel required.

What you'll do

  • Design instrumentation and control systems (BMS) for data center projects from conceptual through detailed phases
  • Select and specify process instrumentation, PLCs, HMI equipment, and networking components
  • Develop control system sequences of operations and technical specifications
  • Coordinate with engineering teams, clients, vendors, and contractors throughout project lifecycle
  • Conduct submittal reviews and field inspections for construction verification
  • Manage assigned tasks and participate in factory witness testing of equipment
