About this role
Olsson seeks a Mechanical Field Engineer to coordinate and oversee mechanical construction activities for an industrial client in Kansas City. This embedded, onsite role involves managing contractor activities, monitoring project progress, and ensuring compliance with specifications and safety standards across mechanical systems installations and maintenance.
What you'll do
- Coordinate and manage mechanical construction activities under senior construction leadership guidance
- Oversee contractor work related to mechanical scopes to ensure alignment with plans, schedules, and quality standards
- Monitor installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems while coordinating with other discipline leads
- Assist in developing and executing construction schedules for plant shutdowns and product line downtimes
- Identify project risks and issues, escalate concerns appropriately, and track progress against assigned scopes
- Support project documentation, prepare status updates, and maintain compliance with safety regulations
