About this role
OpenAI is seeking a Senior Android Engineer to build core mobile foundations supporting user authentication, account management, payments, and safety across OpenAI's app ecosystem. You'll develop reusable Android systems and collaborate with backend, product, and safety teams to scale mobile experiences globally.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain core Android client systems for authentication, account management, and user onboarding
- Develop reusable mobile foundations and architecture components for cross-team product use
- Own complex systems spanning UI, networking, state management, and payment integrations
- Collaborate with backend, product, and safety partners on mobile ecosystem architecture
- Ensure high standards for security, reliability, and user trust at global scale
- Implement family features and platform-specific integrations for OpenAI products
