About this role
OpenAI seeks a senior full-stack engineer to join the Emerging Products team, building experimental products that showcase cutting-edge AI capabilities. You'll own 0-to-1 projects from concept through validation, combining strong frontend skills with backend architectural thinking to rapidly prototype and launch new experiences.
What you'll do
- Build and ship full-stack product experiments with a focus on frontend interfaces and supporting backend systems
- Translate ambiguous user needs and emerging technical capabilities into testable product concepts
- Own technical direction for 0-to-1 projects, balancing speed, reliability, and scalability
- Use research and product metrics to guide iteration and validation decisions
- Partner with design, product, research, and engineering teams to dogfood and evaluate experiments
- Transition successful prototypes toward production-ready products
