Robotics Software Engineer

About this role

OpenAI seeks a Robotics Software Engineer to design and deploy software solutions for general-purpose robotics systems. You'll manage data collection labs, develop robot control interfaces, and collaborate across hardware and research teams to advance robotic capabilities and AGI research.

What you'll do

• Develop and expand data collection labs, handling hardware sourcing, integration, and operational deployment
• Create robot control interfaces for various robot morphologies, environments, and tasks
• Build automation tools and machinery to evaluate advanced robotic policies
• Design and implement data collection, visualization, and quality control processes
• Integrate industrial automation systems and off-the-shelf robotics into production environments
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, software, and research engineers on system integration
