Software Engineer, Ad Formats

About this role

OpenAI seeks an experienced Software Engineer to build the rendering and presentation layer for its new ads ecosystem. You'll design infrastructure for diverse ad formats across ChatGPT and other surfaces while ensuring privacy, safety, and seamless user experiences at scale.

What you'll do

• Design and scale creative rendering and presentation systems for ads across multiple formats and platforms
• Develop infrastructure and tooling for text, image, video, native, conversational, and interactive ad experiences
• Define how ads are structured, validated, rendered, and delivered across ChatGPT products
• Build systems ensuring reliable rendering, performance optimization, and quality standards across platforms
• Partner with Product, Design, and Research to prototype and ship native ad experiences
• Drive 0→1 product development through rapid prototyping and iterative deployment
