About this role
Orion Innovation seeks a Payroll System Developer to manage mainframe and payroll system migrations, including documentation, functional specifications, and software deployments across multiple environments. The role involves coordinating with technical teams, ensuring quality assurance, and maintaining production procedures using industry-standard tools and methodologies.
What you'll do
- Analyze and document mainframe and payroll migration procedures
- Author and review functional specifications with business owners and technical staff
- Plan and execute software migrations across staging and production environments
- Manage JCL, PROC, and control card coding changes with configuration management oversight
- Troubleshoot issues collaboratively with technical job admins and support personnel
- Maintain golden copies and production procedures, tracking changes via RM numbers
