About this role

Perplexity seeks a Design Engineer to build and scale marketing pages, components, and systems that power product launches and growth campaigns. You'll bridge design and engineering, shipping polished pages quickly while maintaining a reusable component library and enabling non-technical teams to move independently.

What you'll do

  • Ship product launch and marketing pages from Figma handoff to production, owning the full design-to-code workflow
  • Build interactive experiences and animations in collaboration with brand designers to increase engagement
  • Maintain and extend the brand design system and component library, keeping design and production in sync
  • Partner with growth and paid ads teams to run A/B tests on landing pages, popups, and upsell modules
  • Migrate legacy content to Sanity, design CMS schemas for non-technical users, and ship new content types
  • Improve marketing tooling around CMS workflows, i18n, SEO, experimentation, and self-serve capabilities

What they're looking for

  • React and TypeScript
  • CSS and Tailwind
  • Responsive design and design-to-code workflows
  • Component library design and maintenance
  • Web animations (GSAP, Motion, Web Animations API)
  • Headless CMS experience (Sanity preferred)
  • A/B testing and growth metrics analysis
  • Design eye for detail and visual polish

Likely interview questions

  • Walk us through a marketing site project where you owned the design-to-code workflow—how did you balance speed with quality?
  • Tell us about a time you designed and built a reusable component library. How did you decide what to abstract and how did you keep it in sync with design?
