Per Scholas seeks an experienced Critical Infrastructure Expert Trainer to deliver hands-on instruction on data center electrical and mechanical systems to entry-to-mid-level learners in Columbus, Ohio. The role requires deep technical expertise in critical facilities combined with strong instructional delivery and a commitment to safety and operational discipline.
What you'll do
- Deliver daily instructor-led training on critical infrastructure systems including power distribution, UPS, generators, cooling, and building management systems
- Facilitate hands-on lab exercises with electrical panels and monitoring simulations while enforcing OSHA and NFPA safety standards
- Assess student progress through scenario-based diagnostics, performance checklists, attendance tracking, and one-on-one tutoring
- Collaborate with curriculum and instructional teams to identify improvement areas and provide feedback on lab effectiveness
- Maintain student records in Salesforce/LMS including grades, certifications, attendance, and performance notes
- Contribute to curriculum updates, lesson plans, and professional development initiatives (approximately 10% of non-instructional time)
