About this role
Join Pure Storage's engineering team to debug and validate enterprise storage hardware and systems. This role involves leading hardware validation for new drive designs, performing root cause analysis on field issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing processes and interoperability.
What you'll do
- Debug hardware and system-level issues in storage devices
- Lead validation testing of new drive designs including signal/power measurements, mechanical testing, and thermal analysis
- Support interoperability and troubleshooting of Pure Storage devices in customer environments
- Perform failure analysis and root cause investigation for field issues and factory defects
- Analyze and document test results from validation activities
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement corrective actions and process improvements
What they're looking for
- Hardware and system validation/debug (7+ years)
- Python and BASH scripting
- Oscilloscope, VNA, protocol analyzer, and power measurement tools
- PCIe, DDR, NAND, SPI, and I2C protocol knowledge
- Soldering and rework techniques
- Enterprise storage/server systems experience
- Autonomous problem-solving and self-motivation
- Technical communication and documentation
