Software Engineer, Data Platform

About this role

Ramp seeks a Software Engineer to build data infrastructure and tools that enable machine learning development across the company. You'll design scalable platforms supporting data scientists and ML engineers while handling billions in transaction data.

What you'll do

• Develop and integrate analytics and machine learning platform components
• Create tools to enhance data scientist and ML engineer workflows
• Partner with stakeholders on productionizing machine learning applications
• Build reliable, scalable, and cost-efficient systems across the stack
• Support the data science development lifecycle with infrastructure

What they're looking for

• Workflow orchestration (Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect)
• Cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• SQL and data warehousing (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery)
• Python programming
• Machine learning fundamentals and data science workflows
• AWS expertise (nice to have)
• Feature store development (nice to have)
• Streaming systems (nice to have)
