Software Engineer, Onboarding
About this role
Join Ramp's Onboarding team to build customer acquisition infrastructure that powers account creation, fraud detection, and decisioning systems. You'll own end-to-end product flows while collaborating across product, risk, and operations to drive growth for a fintech platform processing $200B+ in annual spend.
What you'll do
- Develop software solutions for new customer acquisition and onboarding at scale
- Automate and enhance the application decisioning system interfacing with fraud, compliance, and credit models
- Own the complete customer journey from discovery through approval and product activation
- Drive metric-focused software development to improve business outcomes
- Partner with cross-functional teams including product, sales, risk, and finance
- Scale operations team productivity through automation and AI-assisted tools
What they're looking for
- Software development (2+ years minimum)
- Python and Flask
- SQL
- Modern observability and monitoring tools
- Fast-paced shipping and iterative development
- Problem-solving with pragmatic approaches
- AI/LLM application in production (nice-to-have)
- Fintech or payments domain knowledge (nice-to-have)
