About this role
Join Redhorse as a Mid-Level Full-Stack Software Engineer focused on Infrastructure and DevOps for a critical government modernization project. You'll design and maintain secure, automated infrastructure for a mission-critical platform replacing legacy systems, leveraging AI-assisted development tools while meeting strict DoD security standards.
What you'll do
- Design and implement infrastructure-as-code solutions to support CI/CD pipelines and rapid deployment cycles
- Ensure platform compliance with DoD Impact Level 4 security requirements and maintain documentation
- Collaborate with AI development tools (Codex, Claude Code) to automate infrastructure provisioning and testing
- Build and optimize DevOps tooling and processes to accelerate feedback loops for the engineering team
- Support the modernization of a legacy system managing international security cooperation programs
- Participate in full-stack development across infrastructure, backend, and platform engineering
