About this role
Relativity Space seeks an Avionics Test Engineer II to design and execute comprehensive testing strategies for the Terran R rocket's avionics systems across component, subsystem, and vehicle levels. You'll develop test frameworks, build simulation and validation infrastructure, and collaborate with hardware and software teams to ensure mission-critical systems meet qualification standards.
What you'll do
- Design and develop avionics component qualification and acceptance testing frameworks for Terran R
- Create test equipment including simulation circuits, harnesses, fixtures, and validation tools
- Derive test requirements and methodologies in collaboration with hardware and software engineers
- Write and maintain comprehensive test plans and procedures for avionics systems
- Integrate, commission, and operate test rack hardware and software for functional testing
- Troubleshoot avionics issues and improve testing efficiency through automation
