About this role
Relativity Space seeks an Avionics Test Systems Engineer to design and deploy ground support systems for the Terran R rocket, interfacing directly with flight hardware during engine test, vehicle integration, and launch operations. You'll own the full lifecycle of test systems that support critical vehicle operations, working cross-functionally in a fast-paced aerospace environment.
What you'll do
- Design, build, and integrate electrical and mechanical ground support systems for engine test and launch operations
- Collaborate with avionics, propulsion, software, and test teams to deliver scalable systems on tight timelines
- Oversee fabrication, bring-up, and validation of test systems including electrical testing and calibration
- Author interface control documents (ICDs) and engineering drawings to align ground support with flight hardware
- Ensure systems meet safety and compliance requirements for high-stakes launch operations
- Manage integration of test systems with vehicle and avionics hardware
