About this role
Join Relativity Space's Stage Manufacturing team as a Manufacturing Engineer II overseeing mechanical assembly for the Terran R rocket. You'll own hardware from design through build and test, develop scalable manufacturing processes, and provide hands-on floor support on a second shift (3pm PT) in Long Beach, California.
What you'll do
- Own vehicle sub-system hardware from design release through build, test, and delivery with full accountability for quality and execution readiness
- Develop detailed build flows, work instructions, and test procedures to enable repeatable, high-quality production across first builds and production ramps
- Support first article builds in a fast-paced environment, focusing on manufacturability, repeatability, and scalability
- Provide hands-on floor support during build and test, troubleshoot issues in real time, and incorporate technician feedback for continuous improvement
- Coordinate across design, supply chain, production, and test teams to ensure part readiness, tooling availability, and schedule alignment
- Contribute to long-term manufacturing systems development including tooling strategies, ERP/MES workflows, and production documentation standards
