About this role
Primary IT support contact for a 250-person quantum research organization in Fremont, serving physicists, fab operators, engineers, and staff. You'll manage a critical infrastructure environment including active semiconductor fabrication lines and continuous research equipment where downtime is costly.
What you'll do
- Provide first-line IT support to diverse user base across quantum R&D organization
- Triage technical issues in fabrication lab and research environments with high uptime requirements
- Manage end-user hardware, software, and infrastructure troubleshooting
- Escalate complex issues appropriately and communicate status under pressure
- Support specialized research equipment and lab infrastructure
- Maintain awareness of quantum research workflows and operational constraints
