About this role

Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies seeks an Embedded Software Engineer to develop and validate ECU-level software for next-generation electric vehicle infotainment systems. You'll lead platform bring-up, multimedia subsystem validation, and create comprehensive testing frameworks for high-performance automotive SoCs.

What you'll do

  • Lead ECU platform bring-up and optimization for infotainment systems, including boot sequences, driver integration, and system-level debugging
  • Design and implement validation features to test ECUs against specifications and develop stress tests for CPU, GPU, NPU, and multimedia subsystems
  • Develop manufacturing software for End-of-Line testing and quality control processes
  • Validate and optimize camera and display subsystems across driver, middleware, and application layers
  • Troubleshoot complex software and hardware issues using debugging tools and cross-team collaboration
  • Create technical documentation and communicate designs, APIs, and test procedures to stakeholders and OEMs

  • High-performance SoCs: Snapdragon, NVIDIA Orin, MediaTek, or automotive-grade equivalents
