About this role
Roblox seeks a Data Center Engineer to design, build, and operate core and edge data center infrastructure supporting millions of concurrent players globally. You'll manage server and network hardware lifecycles, solve critical infrastructure problems, and drive automation improvements while working in a fast-growing environment.
What you'll do
- Develop and maintain Core/Edge Data Center and hardware infrastructure for large-scale, real-time platform requirements
- Track and mitigate systemic issues preventing hosts from returning to service
- Perform root cause analysis on critical problems and recommend automation improvements
- Establish and uphold best practices for breakfix, installation, decommissioning, and datacenter operations
- Create infrastructure standards, runbooks, SOPs, and methods to ensure scalability and high availability
- Participate in on-call rotation for critical infrastructure and coordinate with vendors on outsourced projects
