About this role

Rocket Lab seeks an early-career Business Development & Strategy Engineer to support growth of the HASTE hypersonic test platform, bridging engineering and business development for national security missions. You'll manage proposals, market analysis, technical requirements coordination, and customer engagement across government and commercial sectors.

What you'll do

  • Draft and support proposals for new HASTE business opportunities in collaboration with engineering and BD teams
  • Track opportunities, analyze pipeline activity, and forecast demand using Salesforce and internal tools
  • Coordinate with Engineering to assess mission requirements and develop technical responses to customer inquiries
  • Establish realistic NRE timelines and launch schedules with Production and Engineering teams
  • Maintain and improve HASTE marketing materials, data sheets, and customer-facing technical documentation
  • Build market knowledge of suborbital launch and hypersonic test sectors to inform pricing, forecasting, and product strategy
