About this role

Rocket Lab seeks an early-career Business Development & Strategy Engineer to support growth of the HASTE hypersonic test platform. You'll bridge business development and engineering, handling proposals, market analysis, and customer coordination while building expertise in national security and hypersonic flight testing.

What you'll do

  • Draft proposals and technical responses for new HASTE business opportunities in collaboration with Business Development and Engineering
  • Track pipeline activity, analyze market demand, and support sales forecasting for hypersonic test capabilities
  • Coordinate with Engineering to assess mission requirements and establish realistic NRE timelines and launch schedules
  • Maintain and improve HASTE marketing materials, technical documentation, and customer-facing resources
  • Use Salesforce and Jira to track leads, opportunities, and proposals while supporting KPI development and reporting
  • Build market knowledge of suborbital launch and hypersonic test sectors including competitive analysis and emerging trends
