About this role

Rocket Lab Robotics seeks an Electrical Engineer I/II in Pasadena to develop and test avionics hardware for advanced robotic systems used in space exploration. You'll own projects across the full lifecycle—from requirements through design, prototyping, and production—working with robotics, motor control, FPGAs, and microcontrollers in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll do

  • Design and develop avionics hardware for robotics programs, including schematic capture and PCB layout in Altium Designer
  • Perform circuit analysis, stress analysis, and worst-case analysis to ensure reliability
  • Gain hands-on experience with FPGA and microcontroller applications in robotics and motor control
  • Own end-to-end development of Electronic Ground Support Equipment from concept to delivery
  • Execute PCBA design verification testing and system integration testing
  • Support production manufacturing and coordinate with cross-disciplinary teams throughout the project lifecycle
