Propulsion Engineer II, Engine Systems

Rocket Lab is seeking a Propulsion Engineer II to develop and manage engine systems for the Archimedes Engine, integral to the Neutron rocket program. The role involves testing, data analysis, design refinement, and collaboration across teams to ensure the reliability and performance of propulsion hardware.

What you'll do

• Design and test next-generation propulsion hardware
• Develop validated designs meeting program milestones
• Execute engine test plans and analyze performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for integration
• Support flight operations and post-flight analysis

What they're looking for

• Bachelor's in mechanical or aerospace engineering
• 2+ years in rocket engine development or testing
• Understanding of fluid dynamics and thermodynamics
• Knowledge of mechanical design principles
• Ability to analyze data from engine tests
• Experience with cryogenic systems
• Familiarity with rocket engine safety protocols
