About this role

Rocket Lab seeks a Test and Launch Engineer II to manage mission control operations for Electron and Neutron launch vehicles at Wallops Island. You'll operate console systems during tests and launches, develop operational procedures, troubleshoot vehicle systems in real-time, and mentor junior operators while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

What you'll do

  • Operate vehicle systems console in Mission Control during test campaigns, rehearsals, and launches
  • Develop, maintain, and improve test plans, operational procedures, checklists, and Human-Machine Interfaces
  • Perform real-time troubleshooting and post-mission data analysis to resolve vehicle system issues
  • Oversee configuration and checkout of propulsion, fluid, and mechanical systems on launch vehicles
  • Lead testing projects including static testing and integrated hot fire testing of rocket stages
  • Mentor junior operators and develop Neutron vehicle operations procedures
