About this role

Saronic Technologies seeks an Outfit Build Engineer to oversee the design, integration, and installation of systems on autonomous surface vessels. Based in Franklin, LA, you'll work hands-on at the shipyard coordinating equipment installation, systems integration, and design changes while collaborating remotely with engineering teams in Austin.

What you'll do

  • Design and oversee installation of outfit systems including HVAC, piping, deck equipment, and mission systems for autonomous vessels
  • Serve as liaison between engineering, drafting, and production teams to resolve technical challenges during construction
  • Identify non-conformances, conduct root cause analysis, and drive resolution through Issue Review Boards and rework plans
  • Lead and coordinate Engineering Change Orders with traceability, communication, and verification
  • Perform fit-checks, clearance verification, and functional testing of mechanical systems and deck equipment
  • Manage CAD models to document as-built changes and support design reviews
