About this role
Scout Motors seeks a Product Quality Engineer to ensure suspension, braking, and alignment systems meet quality and reliability standards. You'll conduct root cause analysis, manage supplier relationships, and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing and product development while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
What you'll do
- Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and other industry quality standards
- Monitor quality metrics and perform audits on manufacturing processes and supplier components
- Lead failure analysis using 8D, DMAIC, and 5-Why methodologies
- Investigate product failures, warranty claims, and customer complaints for suspension and braking systems
- Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturing, design, and customer service teams on quality improvements
- Develop corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues
